ITD 2018 is here!

Németh Nikolett
September 26, 2018

The time has come again to celebrate those who make this world a smaller place.

On 24 May 2017, the United Nations General Assembly recognised September 30th as International Translation Day (ITD) to be celebrated every year across the entire UN network. The date, September 30th is chosen, because it is also the feast day of St. Jerome, patron saint of translators, who was the first person to translate the Bible into Latin. The International Federation of Translators Council has selected the theme for ITD 2018:

"TRANSLATION: PROMOTING CULTURAL HERITAGE IN CHANGING TIMES"
