The European Association of Terminology (EAFT) held its Summit on 27th and 28th November, 2014.
The Terminology Summit is held every two years at a different location, this year it was hosted by TermCat in Barcelona. The overall topic of the summit was: How does social networking affect terminology work? This included two types of talks: on the one hand we were informed about the social networking activities of terminologists and professional organizations, and on the other hand speakers introduced terminology databases made of neologisms collected from twitter and blogs.
As part of the conference the General Assembly of EAFT was also held, where Eszter Papp, the terminologist of Language Experts Group was elected as member of the Board.
