Proofreading
What is proofreading and how does it work?
Proofreading is the final stage of the editing process. The translation is re-created in the final format (mostly PDF in the case of document translation), and a native translator checks the translated document against the original focusing on grammar, style, punctuation and spelling corrections. The proofreader makes comments in the document suggesting final changes and then returns it to the desktop publishing specialist who applies these corrections. This service ensures that the translation is flawless and ready to publish.
When should you consider proofreading services?
No matter how skilled and experienced the translator is, human errors can still occur. This is why a proofreader is needed to find and correct any mistakes and make sure your translation is ready to publish.
Proofreading is a crucial step of our quality assurance system, it is always included in our premium translation solutions. But should you need a single proofreading service for a translation done by someone else, we can help you make sure it is high quality.
